Urban Algorithm LLC wants the Powerhouse Prep website at https://www.powerhouseprep.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and browser zoom. This statement describes the current accessibility of the website and how to reach us if you run into a barrier.
Standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task, and some parts of this archived website may not yet fully conform.
What we have done
On July 22, 2026 we completed an accessibility review of the website using automated testing (axe-core) together with manual checks, and made the following corrections:
- In-content, footer, and alert links are now underlined so they can be told apart from surrounding text without relying on color alone.
- Text and interface colors were adjusted to improve contrast, including the recommended-book badge, secondary buttons, footer links, alert links, and data-table headers.
- Heading levels were corrected so they follow a logical order without skipping levels.
- A "Skip to main content" link was added so keyboard users can bypass the repeated navigation.
- Duplicate element identifiers in the navigation were made unique.
- Invalid list markup on the practice-question pages was cleaned up.
- Descriptive alternative text was added to informative images that previously had none.
- Every page declares its language, has a descriptive page title, and the main menu and dropdowns are operable by keyboard.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may still present barriers, and we intend to address them:
- Some images in the older lifestyle blog articles are hosted on a legacy domain and may fail to load; where this happens, descriptive alternative text is shown in their place.
- The website loads third-party tools, including a live-chat widget and Google Tag Manager. These are controlled by their vendors, and their accessibility is outside our direct control.
- The visual styling is built on a frozen third-party framework, so some interactive components may not be fully optimized for every assistive technology.
Ongoing effort
We review accessibility as we make changes to the website and will update this statement, including the "Last updated" date above, as improvements are made.
