Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Urban Algorithm LLC ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Powerhouse Prep iOS app (the "App"), our CLEP and DSST exam preparation product, and the website at https://www.powerhouseprep.com (the "Website"). Urban Algorithm LLC is located at:

30 N Gould St Ste 3248
Sheridan, Wyoming 82801
United States

Powerhouse Prep is designed to collect as little information as possible. The App has no user accounts, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The App at a glance

  • No account, no sign-in, no name or email collected by the App.
  • Analytics are tied only to a random, anonymous device-generated identifier.
  • Subscriptions are billed by Apple; we never see or store your payment card details.
  • No third-party advertising in the App. No Apple IDFA. No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) tracking prompt, because we do not track you.

Information the App collects

DataDetailsPurpose
Anonymous device identifier A random identifier generated on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and it is not the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). To associate usage events with an anonymous session so we can understand how the App is used.
Usage and product events Events such as onboarding steps completed, study activity within the App, and purchase events (for example, that a subscription started). This information is linked only to the anonymous identifier above. App functionality and analytics: to see which features are used and to improve the App.
Onboarding answers Your responses during onboarding (which exam you are studying for, your target exam date, your confidence level, how much time you plan to study, which prep tools you have used before, and how you heard about us). These answers are stored on your device and are associated only with the anonymous identifier in analytics. To personalize your study experience and to understand our audience in aggregate.
Subscription and purchase data When you buy a subscription, Apple processes the transaction. Purchase receipts and transaction history are processed on our behalf by RevenueCat to manage your subscription status and for revenue analytics. We do not receive your credit card or payment details. Subscription management and revenue analytics.
Ad attribution token If you arrive via an Apple Search Ads campaign, Apple's AdServices framework provides a privacy-preserving attribution token that indicates which campaign or keyword led to your install. This is Apple's own framework and does not involve the IDFA or ATT tracking. To measure the effectiveness of our Apple Search Ads campaigns (via RevenueCat).

The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or any user-generated content, and it does not contain third-party advertising.

Service providers we use

We share limited information with the following processors, only as needed to run the App:

ProviderRolePrivacy policy
Apple Distributes the App and processes all subscription payments. Provides the Search Ads attribution token. apple.com/legal/privacy
RevenueCat Processes purchase receipts and transaction history for subscription management and revenue and attribution analytics. revenuecat.com/privacy
PostHog Product analytics (US cloud). Stores the anonymous identifier and usage events described above. posthog.com/privacy

How long we keep data

Analytics events are retained in PostHog for as long as they are useful for understanding and improving the App. Onboarding answers stored on your device remain there until you delete the App. You can ask us to delete the analytics data associated with your anonymous identifier at any time (see "Your rights" below).

Your rights

Because the App does not collect your name, email address, or any other information that identifies you personally, we generally cannot connect the data we hold to a specific individual. To make a request, you will need to provide the identifier the data is keyed to. For analytics data, that is your anonymous device identifier (available inside the App); for purchase data, that is your Apple subscription receipt or transaction information.

  • Access: You can ask what data associated with your anonymous identifier we hold.
  • Deletion: You can ask us to delete the analytics data associated with your anonymous identifier. Send us the identifier through our contact form and we will delete the associated events. You can also delete on-device data at any time by deleting the App.
  • No sale: We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Urban Algorithm contact form at urbanalgorithm.com/#contact.

California privacy (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it (described above), the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Because we do not collect information that identifies you personally, deletion requests are handled using your anonymous identifier or subscription receipt as described in "Your rights". We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

European privacy (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (providing the App and managing subscriptions) and our legitimate interests (understanding and improving the App and measuring ad effectiveness). Analytics data is processed in the United States; where required, appropriate safeguards apply. To make a request, contact us through the Urban Algorithm contact form at urbanalgorithm.com/#contact, providing the anonymous identifier or receipt the data is keyed to.

Children's privacy

Powerhouse Prep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App collects only anonymous identifiers and usage information as described above. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Website

This section covers the powerhouseprep.com website (separate from the App). Our web host and content delivery network keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. The Website uses Google Tag Manager and a Crisp chat widget, which may set cookies to function. The Website does not require an account and does not sell personal information. If you contact us through the Website's chat widget, we use that information only to respond to you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App or Website after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
